On Saturday, July 23rd, Centerline hosted a Linda Heiny riding clinic. Linda Heiny is a well known and highly respected horsewoman whose experience with horses encompasses a wide range of disciplines and breeds, all spanning a career of over 30 years. Best known for her ability to communicate with and motivate both the horse and it's rider, she offers dressage and balanced seat instruction. Building the horses natural athleticism through a progressive through a progressive training program, showing the rider the way to become an asset to the horse's natural movement, instilling confidence, trust and clear communication... the unification of the horse and rider on all levels is her ultimate goal. While dressage is her emphasis, she has a background in show jumping, fox hunting, point to point racing, eventing and dressage. We plan to have Linda at Centerline for intermittent clinics and lessons. Interested riders should contact us.
Linda stops to talk to two clinic participants about riding theory and technique.

Some of Big Walnut Creek team members take a break to enjoy lunch at the D-Rally. Big Walnut Creek finished inFirst Place Overall, and Fourth Place in Horse Management.
Mother Nature provided beautiful weather for the pony clubbers on Saturday, August 9th. The Big Walnut Creek Pony Club hosted the Hartland Region USPC D-Rally. D-rally is an eventing rally (dressage, stadium jumping and cross-country jumping) for our beginner pony clubbers. The D1 level participants rode USDF intro A dressage test, and jumped ground poles in stadium and cross-country. The D2 level participants rode USEF Beginner Novice A, and jumps/obstacles up to 19" high and 1' wide. The D3's rode USEF Beginner Novice B, and jumps/ obstacles up to 2'6" high, and 2'6" wide. As a pony club rally, the participants were also judged on horse management. This was the first rally for many of the participants. Everyone did a wonderful job! We wish to thank all of our pony clubbers, parents, and volunteers for a job well done!
